The 1035 Danish Government has shelved the plans for a road toll scheme for Copenhagen. The decision has been welcomed by opposition parties, and the government is now set increase funding for public transport so that ticket prices can be reduced.
Five finalists for the Association of Equipment Manufacturer’s (AEM’s) Infrastructure Vision 2050 Challenge fought for the winning place in a live final, held at CONEXPO-CON/AGG’s Tech Experience zone. The finalists had to pitch their ideas to three judges in one of the white Tech Experience domes.
An information memorandum that will officially launch the sale of M6 Toll, the UK’s only toll road, will be sent out to interested buyers in September.
No date is set for sending out the IM, according to sources, but the 43km six-lane asset around the English city of Birmingham could be going for slightly less after the UK’s European Union referendum vote in June.
