Indonesia toll projects Work on a 39km toll road linking Pemalang with Batang in Indonesia is expected to start in mid-2012, although the finance structure is still being established.
Funding sources are now being secured for Indonesia’s massive Trans Java toll project. A portion of the financing is being delivered by Sarana Multi Infrastuktur, Taspen, and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Part of the financing package will also be sourced from pension funds such as BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Taspen. The project will be carried out by Waskita Toll Road.
In Indonesia plans are well in hand for the development of the new Pekanbaru-Dumai toll road project. The 134km road will cost US$896 million to construct and will be carried out under the PPP model. Agreements have been sealed to start work on freeing the land needed for the project. The land compensation process is due for completion by December 2011.
The Moroccan Government is increasing its investment in roads and highways by 21% from last year. The country intends to spend US$6.32 billion on improving the road network. A further $14.5 billion is expected from private sources and other funding bodies. Work on the El Jadida-Safi highway project will commence in 2012 and is expected to cost $497million. Work on the Tit Mellil-Berrechid highway section will cost $152.55 million. The authorities in Morocco are now assessing 13 bids submitted in the tender
