Solid as a rock with Andromeda

SMA Road Safety says that its Andromeda pre-assembled barrier can be used as roadside and median protection.

According to Roberto Impero, chief executive of SMA Road Safety, the Andromeda presents some advanced features, as noted by the SMART Roads Project and the European 1317-2 standard. It is now available for the H2 class of containment level.

SMA – Safety Modular Absorber – is part of AMS (Automation Manufacturing Services) and is based in Italy.

    German light and compact equipment manufacturer, Wacker Neuson, saw its second-quarter 2012 profit fall 38% to €13.8 million, down from €22.5 million in Q2 2011. The Munich-based firm’s quarterly earnings per share dropped 37.5% to 0.20 euros from last year's 0.32 euros.
