The project is being carried out jointly by Asociation Aktor and Euro Construct Trading '98. Work is due for completion 22 months. The Bucharest - Ploiesti highway segment is the only one in the country that has three lanes in one direction, with the first 19.5km started in 2007 by Impresa Pizzarotti C and Tirrena Scavi. However, just over 16km has been built with the rest remaining incomplete due to changes to the plan made by local authorities.
