Meanwhile in Rybnik the local authorities are looking to a loan to finance work on a regional road connecting Raciborz and Pszczyna. The aim is to source funding from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the project has an estimated cost of €109.27 million. The work would form part of an EU project to improve road links in Poland. The work is needed to upgrade the existing road between Raciborz and Pszczyna as well as to build a new 60km section. Should funding be secured, the improved road connection and additional link would be ready for traffic by 2020.
