A series of road projects is being awarded in Nepal. The announcements over the winning tenders for 13 projects is being made in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Financing worth US$300 million is being provided from Indian sources.
A series of major road projects are being offered for tender in the Czech Republic. The eight projects will cost in excess of €384 million. Further road project tenders will open in a few months. The work is needed as the Czech Republic scores poorly in terms of how many motorway link it has in comparison with many of its neighbours. Serbia has managed to reduce the cost of building the Corridor 10 highway by €80 million. These funds will instead be used to pay for upgrades and improvements needed for the second section of the highway project, close to Neradovci. So far some 180km of the Corridor 10 highway has been built over a 40 month time frame. A further 150km of the highway has still to be built.
