A series of road projects is being awarded in Nepal. The announcements over the winning tenders for 13 projects is being made in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Financing worth US$300 million is being provided from Indian sources.

    Funding has been secured for a series of road works in Argentina. The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is providing US$300 million in the shape of a loan for work on a number of key routes. The road projects being targeted include Routes 6 and Route 8 in Rio Negro; Route 23 in Villa Elisa; the Gualeguaychu ring-road; Route 1 in Catamarca.     A loan from the World Bank worth US212 million to the Kenyan Government for road works has been cancelled. The loan was to have been used to build new road connections in capital Nairobi, including a link with Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
