A series of road projects is being awarded in Nepal. The announcements over the winning tenders for 13 projects is being made in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Financing worth US$300 million is being provided from Indian sources.
Five road projects in India will benefit from funding provided by loans from Japan. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is to provide loans worth a total of US$738.65 million to fund five road projects. These will form part of the North East Connectivity project, which has been planned by the Indian Government. The work includes upgrade works to the northeast road network, while the Indian Government has also dedicated a portion of the funds to upgrade the Aizwal-Tuipand, NH-51, and NH-54 road
A series of important Polish road projects will be opening for tender shortly. In all the nine projects will be worth €603.3 million and stretch for a total of 138km. These project tenders will be announced by e Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) before the end of 2018. The work includes improvements to the DK 18 National Road as well as ring roads for the cities of Nowy Sacz, Ostrowiec Swietokrzyski, Zawiercie and Poreba.
