A series of road projects is being awarded in Nepal. The announcements over the winning tenders for 13 projects is being made in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu. Financing worth US$300 million is being provided from Indian sources.
A series of loans from the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) will help finance transportation projects in Costa Rica. Totaling around US$1 billion, the loans will allow a substantial package of works to get underway. Key highway projects are being planned in Vietnam. The Ninh Binh-Thanh Hoa expressway will run 127km and is expected to cost US$1.6 billion to construct. The Nghi Son-Bai Vot expressway will cost $1 billion to build and Vietnam's Ministry of Transport (MoT) hopes to source a loan from the World Bank for this project.
