Moscow road repairs budget set

Moscow is pushing ahead with its programme of road repairs in the city and surrounding area. During 2016 some 2,100km of roads benefited from necessary repair and maintenance work. The city’s chronic traffic congestion is made worse by the poor state of the road network in many areas of Moscow and plans are in hand to carry out repairs to address the issue. With high traffic volumes and a tough climate to contend with, the city’s road network does require extensive maintenance work to stay in good condition.

    In Russia’s capital Moscow, a key viaduct is now open to traffic, which will help reduce the city’s chronic congestion problem. The viaduct is 820m long by 15m wide and carries traffic over the Dmitrovskoe Highway.
