Loans for planned Paraguayan projects

Financing has been found for road repairs and rebuilding in Paraguay. A series of planned projects will see roads and bridge being refurbished and rebuilt. The Latin American Development Bank (CAF) will provide loans worth US$272 million for road and bridge repairs. A $50 million loan will be used to pay for work in the country’s Oriental region. Financing has been found for road repairs and rebuilding in Paraguay. A series of planned projects will see roads and bridge being refurbished and rebuilt. The Latin American Development Bank (CAF) will provide loans worth US$272 million for road and bridge repairs. A $50 million loan will be used to pay for work in the country’s Oriental region. In all 110 bridges will be built across Paraguay. A loan will also pay for improvements to National Route 9 connecting Mariscal Estigarribia and La Patria and La Patria and Infante Rivarola, as well as the road linking km40-Alberdi and Villa Oliva.

    In Paraguay the government is setting up plans for rebuilding Ruta 9, the Transchaco road. Negotiations have been held with regard to funding with the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB).     A series of road projects is now being funded in Paraguay due to financing being provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications is scheduling new road projects in the eastern part of the country during the first half of 2015. The US$105 million IADB loan will pay for 400kms of new roads and 2km of new bridges, with much of the work being carried out in rural areas.
