Key infrastructure projects in Philippines receive approval

In the Philippines the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has authorised 12 public-private partnership (PPP) and other infrastructure projects. However the US$473.5 million North Luzon Expressway-South Luzon Expressway Connector Road project has still to be discussed by NEDA. In the Philippines the 6316 National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) has authorised 12 public-private partnership (PPP) and other infrastructure projects. However the US$473.5 million North Luzon Expressway-South Luzon Expressway Connector Road project has still to be discussed by NEDA. The board gave its authorisation for the $28.3 million Sen Gil Puyat Avenue-Makati Avenue-Paseo de Roxas vehicles underpass project. The $89.5 million Metro Manila Interchange Construction Project Phase 6 also secured approval, as well as work to repair damaged bridges along Bohol Circumferential Road. NEDA gave the go ahead for the contract amendment for the $2.74 billion Laguna Lakeshore Expressway Dike Project.

    A series of major highway projects are now being planned in the Philippines. The largest of this most recent set of highway projects to be announced is for the US$1.24 billion NLEx-Cavitex Port Expressway Link put forward. Measuring 15km the route would be constructed featuring four lanes. This proposed link would connect the Cavite Expressway and North Luzon Expressway in Metro Manila.
