The 254km Chive to Ixiamas highway meanwhile is expected to cost $600 million. Should Chinese funding sources finance these highway projects, it is likely that Chinese contractors would also carry out the bulk of the construction work. And this being the case, the majority of the construction equipment would also likely be sourced from Chinese manufacturers.
