China’s Heilongjiang Province sets road expansion budget

China's Heilongjiang Province plans to develop its transport infrastructure. The authorities in the province have set a budget of US$2.99 billion to develop road links as well as waterways. The plans call for the construction of 364km of new highways, upgrading 450km of existing rural roads and building 6,400km of new rural roads. Waterway development will include developing river infrastructure for heavy shipments and improving five existing channels meanwhile. This overall programme of works represents a

China's Heilongjiang Province plans to develop its transport infrastructure. The authorities in the province have set a budget of US$2.99 billion to develop road links as well as waterways. The plans call for the construction of 364km of new highways, upgrading 450km of existing rural roads and building 6,400km of new rural roads. Waterway development will include developing river infrastructure for heavy shipments and improving five existing channels meanwhile. This overall programme of works represents a 27% increase in transport development funding compared with 2016.
