The project to construct the Dhaka Elevated Expressway was to have been carried out by the contractor, Italian-Thai Development (ITD). The Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) is now considering its options for the project while all the legal implications have also to be evaluated. Some site development work and piling has already been carried out.
