Several crawler cranes from Sennebogen are proving their worth at a port construction site on the banks of the Bosporus in Turkey.

Local firm Özüaydin Crane now has six crawler cranes from 2924 Sennebogen and has put the machines to use on a major port construction site in Istanbul.

The six crawler cranes include two E-series 5500 models and one E-series 3300 model. Both machine types feature a robust Star-Lifter crawler undercarriage. The machines feature a novel self-assembly system and can assemble themselves on site in just a few steps. Powerful winches rated at 160kN feature rope speeds of up to 105m/min. Safe hoisting even on difficult ground is a key requirement for this operation. The uneven ground at the construction site in the port is often very challenging. However the machines benefit from a sensitive control system that is said to ensure safe positioning of the load at any time. The new maXcab comfort cabs are said to allow operators good visibility of the work area. The customer is supported by long-term Sennebogen business and sales partner Forsen Machinery.
