Germany Formwork specialist 298 Peri officially recently broke ground for the family-owned firm’s expansion of its scaffolding plant in Guenzburg, Bavaria.

Peri, one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of formwork and scaffolding systems, said that it is ramping up its production capacities.

Production of Peri scaffolding systems at the Guenzburg site has been running since last summer and the company’s investment in Guenzburg is expected to create around 300 jobs.

Expansion comprises a new galvanizing metal processing plant which will more than double the site's floor space. Work is expected to be finished in the first half of 2019, said Leonhard Braig, managing director of product and technology at Peri.

The company has a turnover of around €1.3 billion and a worldwide workforce of 8,100 people in 70 subsidiaries.
