Chinese firm 1175 Zoomlion has won a significant order for Saudi Arabia in the shape of a new 174RSU concrete pump.

The machine is being supplied to a local equipment dealer through Zoomlion’s Concrete Machinery Branch Company’s overseas marketing company in Saudi Arabia. This is the first time Zoomlion has exported a concrete pump product to the Saudi Arabian market and it is expected to open up a route for the firm to sell more of the units to the country.

The deal is of note as historically there has been little demand for concrete pumps in the Saudi Arabian concrete machinery market. Sales of most concrete machinery manufacturers have been concentrated on truck-mounted mixers, and concrete batching plants. However Zoomlion’s Concrete Machinery Branch Company entered the Saudi Arabian market recently and has worked with dealers to expand exports and increase the market share of its concrete pump products.

The Saudi Arabian construction machinery market has seen growth and Zoomlion has seen this as an opportunity to develop sales for its products.
