Work underway on new Vietnam highway

Work is now underway on the Lo Te-Rach Soi Highway in Vietnam. The new link runs for 53.34km and connects Kien Giang with Can Tho. The first stage of this project is costing in the order of US$298.62 million. Work on the project will take 30 months to complete.

The US$567 million project will connect with Algeria’s key East-West highway and forms part of the president's 2005-2025 programme of works. The first section of the new highway will be split into two lots, linking the provinces of Batna, Khenchela and Oum El Bouaghi.
