A new bridge is being planned in Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi. The 5.5km structure will connect Long Bien and Hoan Kiem, spanning the Red River.

The bridge is being designed with three lanes in either direction. The plans call for a structure with a width of 31m that allows traffic speeds of up to 80km/h.

Building the bridge is expected to cost up to US 386 million. Construction of this bridge will help improve traffic flow between Long Bien District and Hoan Kiem District.
