Work is now complete for the second phase of the Mountain View Corridor project in the US state of Utah. The 4km greenfield roadway runs from 5400 South to 4100 South in West Valley City. The project was designed and built jointly by Michael Baker International, Ralph L Wadsworth and Staker Parsons.

Phase two of the Mountain View Corridor project included 14 mainline bridges, as well as seven pedestrian bridges and intersection reconstruction, and vital safety improvements to accommodate growth in Salt Lake County.

The next phase of construction is due to commence in 2019 and will widen the road connection from 4100 South to SR 201. In the meantime, the extension project into Utah County from SR-73 to 2100 North will begin in 2018. Once all phases are completed, the Mountain View Corridor will be a 56km freeway from I-80 in Salt Lake to SR-73 in Utah County. This will provide an alternative route to I-15 and improve transport for drivers.
