A budget of nearly US$426 million is required for transport infrastructure works in Vietnam’s Binh Duong Province. Priority works include building the Tan Van Interchange for the Beltway No 3 project and new parallel structures for Binh Goi Bridge.

In addition, the authorities in Ho Chi Minh City are proposing the construction of a fourth bridge spanning the Saigon River. Construction of the 2.2km Thu Thiem 4 Bridge would cost an estimated $204 million. The proposal calls for a clearance of 15m to allow for river traffic.

Another proposal is for upgrade work to a stretch of the expressway linking HCMC and Long Thanh. If the work, which includes building a new bridge, is approved it will go ahead in 2025 and take until 2027 to complete, costing $636 million.

Meanwhile, construction is now underway in Tien Giang Province for the second phase of the An Huu-Cao Lanh Expressway project. The project is being managed by the People's Committee of Tien Giang Province. The work is costing $164 million and is being carried out by a consortium lead by Truong Son Construction.

Work will also start at the end of 2024 on the first phase of the new expressway linking Dau Giay and Tan Phu. The 61km expressway will cut journey times between Dalat and HCMC, connecting with the expressway running between HCMC and Long Thanh as well as National Highway 20. This project is expected to cost $383 million.
