Mecalac has introduced a rail-road version of its compact 8MCR crawler excavator. The wheels can be set at 1,000mm, 1,435mm and 1,668mm widths, to suit various European rail networks. Activation of the on-rail function automatically turns on all regulatory lighting, limits the working height of the equipment, limits upper structure rotation and activates a load monitoring system.
