Uruguay highway concession contract awarded

Spanish firm Copasa of Spain has won the package of works to build Uruguay’s Ruta 14 Centro-Oeste highway. The contract is a build and operate deal, while the concession is for a 20 year term.

RSSSpanish firm 5290 Copasa of Spain has won the package of works to build Uruguay’s Ruta 14 Centro-Oeste highway. The contract is a build and operate deal, while the concession is for a 20 year term.


The project will involve some technical challenges, with the highway running for around 300km in all. Included in the work will be the construction of 10 bridges.
