The UK’s new Tyne Tunnel is now open to traffic.

The UK’s new Tyne Tunnel is now open to traffic. The project cost some €303.5 million (£260 million) to construct and provides a second link under the River Tyne. The first link opened to traffic in 1968 and will now be upgraded to meet the latest tunnel legislation.

    Major cost reductions are being seen on some key highway projects in Russia including the new ring road project in St Petersburg, where the reduction is US$192.31 million.
