The UK’s new Tyne Tunnel is now open to traffic.

The UK’s new Tyne Tunnel is now open to traffic. The project cost some €303.5 million (£260 million) to construct and provides a second link under the River Tyne. The first link opened to traffic in 1968 and will now be upgraded to meet the latest tunnel legislation.

    Infrastructure consultancy Louis Berger is to provide services worth US$7.6 million for the rehabilitation of Mozambique’s National Road N303.     A second movable scaffold system (MSS) is on its way from China to the UK town of Halton, as part of the Mersey Gateway Project, a toll bridge over the Mersey River in England.
