Two new Vietnam expressways

Work on two new expressways will commence in Vietnam during 2017. The projects are both being managed by the Vietnamese Government and are being constructed in the southern province of Dong Nai.

A build-operate-transfer (BOT) format will be employed for the construction of a 60-kilometer-long first section

A 60km expressway will run through Tan Phu and Dau Giay and join with the Dau Giay-Lien Khuong expressway, with the work being carried out under the build, operate, transfer model. This expressway will lie alongside the existing National Highway 20, with construction commencing towards the end of 2017 and due to be completed by 2020. The project is worth US$202.6 million and the route will feature four lanes and have an 80km/h speed limit.

Work one Dau Giay-Phan Thiet expressway will be carried out in two phases. A 36km section will run from Dau Giay to Xuan Loc District in Dong Nai Province. The second section will be 62km long and run from Xuan Loc District to Phan Thiet City in Binh Thuan Province. Construction is now commencing while funding is being supplied by loans from the World Bank.
