Three bridges to be replaced in Nuremburg

In the southern German city of Nuremburg plans are being made for work to replace three old concrete bridges. A feasibility study into the proposed work will now be carried out. The three pre-stressed concrete bridges will have to be demolished and replaced with new structures. In all, the work is expected to cost some €100 million.

    A Terex crawler crane has been used to lift out a concrete bridge in the German town of Zweibrücken. The work was carried out shortly after the Terex Superlift 3800 lattice boom crawler crane had been supplied to Trier-based specialist Steil. The crane hire firm already had four Terex crawler cranes in its fleet with this new arrival bringing the number to five.
