Thailand tenders for infrastructure

Thailand's Transport Ministry is opening the tender process for over US$9.87 billion worth of infrastructure projects. Included amongst the 11 projects being put out to tender are the 98km Bang Yai-Kanchanaburi and 196km Bang Pa-in-Saraburi-Nakhon Ratchasima highways. These two highway projects both have values in excess of $865.75 million. Meanwhile plans to open the tender for the Tao Pun-Rat Burana highway extension project will open between December 2016 and May 2017.

    Proposals are being put forward for a major motorway project in Thailand. Costing an estimated US$1.16 billion, the tender process for the Bang-pa-in-Nakhon Sawan motorway project is expected to commence in 2019. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the project is due to start in due course. Another motorway project planned is for the Hat Yai-Sadao link.
