Tanzania tolled highway projects being carried out by Chinese firms

The Tanzania National Road Agency (Tanroads) is managing four major highway projects that have been awarded to four Chinese contractors. In all the routes will stretch for a total of 432km and the work meanwhile will cost a total of around US$313 million. China Geo Engineering Corporation will carry out the work for the Usesula-Komaga route, which will cost $70.21 million. The Tanzania National Road Agency (Tanroads) is managing four major highway projects that have been awarded to four Chinese contractors. In all the routes will stretch for a total of 432km and the work meanwhile will cost a total of around US$313 million. China Geo Engineering Corporation will carry out the work for the Usesula-Komaga route, which will cost $70.21 million. China Wu Yi is building the highway from Komanga to Kasinde, which is costing $62.72 million. China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG) has the contract for the Kasinde-Mpanda, which is costing $59.14 million. Meanwhile China Henan International will build the section from Mbinga-Mbamba Bay in a contract worth $57.32 million.
