A new bridge is being built in Taiwan and is due for completion by June 2016.

A new bridge is being built in Taiwan and is due for completion by June 2016. The bridge will be constructed at Kinmen and will measure 5.4km long. The structure will link Little Kinmen (Lieyu) with Kinmen Island (Greater Kinmen). The project is costing US$239 million. The progress of the construction work is being monitored by the Taiwan Area National Expressway Engineering Bureau.

    A new road improvement project is being carried out in Indonesia. This calls for the resurfacing of a key road on Kalimantan Island. The project is expected to cost US$257.4 million to carry out in all and is due for completion in 2024. This route extends some 1,920km in all, so the work is being carried out in a series of stages.
