Sydney Gateway project on track

Plans are in hand for the construction of the Sydney Gateway project, which will now see an improved connection to the city’s airport. The highway at St Peters will now be extended to Sydney Airport. The work will cost US$1.85 billion (A$2.6 billion) and will be funded jointly by the Australian Government and Sydney Airport. The work should be completed by 2023. The route will not be tolled.

  • Further progress with new Ugandan highway link

    The Ugandan Government is planning to launch a tender to build a six-lane highway that will stretch 77km and connect Kampala with Jinja. Costing in the region of US$800 - $1 billion, work is due to commence in 2015.     The last section of the 3km İzmit Bay Bridge – now officially the Osman Gazi Bridge - was lifted into place on April 21, according to Turkish media. When open later this summer, the bridge will cut the 70-minute drive around İzmit Gulf, on the Sea of Marmara, to just six minutes.
