Sunda Strait Bridge project for Indonesia

Progress is being made in Indonesia with regard to the Sunda Strait Bridge project. Construction work is expected to start shortly and the cost of the project has been estimated at some US$10.6 billion.

Progress is being made in Indonesia with regard to the Sunda Strait Bridge project. Construction work is expected to start shortly and the cost of the project has been estimated at some US$10.6 billion. Financing has still to be finalised however with discussions on-going within Indonesia as to whether the project will be funded by private sources or the government.  The bridge will form an essential component of the Masterplan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Development for the Sumatra corridor.
