Sri Lanka port tunnel approved

Approval has been given for a new port tunnel connection project in Sri Lanka. The project will be carried out under the PPP model and will connect capital Colombo with Port City. The work will be carried out by with CHEC Port City Colombo, a subsidiary of China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC).

Approval has been given for a new port tunnel connection project in Sri Lanka. The project will be carried out under the PPP model and will connect capital Colombo with Port City. The work will be carried out by with CHEC Port City Colombo, a subsidiary of China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC). The new tunnel will provide a road connection from Port City to the road network serving Colombo. The planned route runs from Marive Drive and under the Galle Face Green esplanade to Port City.
