Spanish firm handling Indian road projects

Work on four new road projects in India will be carried out by Spanish contractor Isolux Corsan. In all the work is worth US$306.5 million. The 130km stretch of road connecting Talcher with Chandikole in Odisha is costing $124.9 million to construct. One stretch is for a 160km road between Phalodi and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan. The other two sections of road being built are in Assam.

    A project for a 19km stretch of Norway’s E6 highway has been awarded. The work will be carried out by the contractor Hæhre Entreprenør, in partnership with the consultants Dr Ing A Aas Jakobsen Trondheim and Sweco Norge. The deal is worth €420 million (NOK 4 billion) and was awarded by Norway’s state-owned road firm Nye Veier.
