Six new road tenders are being planned by the authorities in Brazil’s Sao Paulo State. The aim is for the works to be underway by 2026, with all six projects costing a total of US$6.2 billion.
One of the projects, for the Litoral Paulista route, is expected to open for tender in 2023. Other projects planned include a tunnel linking Santos with Guaruja and to sections for the ViaOeste route and works for the Renovias road. Tendering for the ViaOeste sections is expected in 2024, with tendering for the Santos to Guaraja tunnel in 2025 and the Renovias link in 2025-2026.
