Siberian spending on road infrastructure

A budget in excess of US$1.09 billion has been set for road infrastructure spending in Russia’s Krasnoyarsk Region (Siberia). The funds will be used to widen, upgrade and repair road links over the next three years. In all the plans call for more than 1,000 km of roads and 62 bridges to be repaired during the 2015-2017 period.

  • Kaliningrad Russian enclave revamping roads

    Russia’s Kaliningrad enclave has set a budget of over US$180 million for road development during the 2019-2021 period. This will be used for maintaining and improving existing roads, as well as developing new links. Regional and municipal roads will benefit from the spending programme.   • Three bidders have submitted tenders for a key bridge link in Siberia

    In Siberia Novosibirsk-based company Sibmost has offered the lowest cost tender for a new bridge over the Yenisey River at US$394.7 million. The Krasnoyarsk-based Trasmost offered a bid of $450.6 million for the work while another Krasnoyarsk-based firm Sibiryak submitted a tender of $453.9 million for the bridge. This will be the fourth road bridge spanning the Yenisey River in Krasnoyarsk. All three companies said that the work will take 40 months to complete.
