The southern section of Serbia's Corridor 10 highway is now carrying traffic, with only final works needed to complete the link.

The southern section of Serbia's Corridor 10 highway is now carrying traffic, with only final works needed to complete the link. This highway section measures 88km long and runs from Horgos to Bikovo, with all works on the highway section due to be completed by August 2011. Works on the 200km Corridor 10 section that runs from the Hungarian border through the City of Novi Sad, across the Beska Bridge over the Danube river and through to Belgrade is due for completion by early September 2011. The southern part will be 200km long. Work on the Horgos-Novi Sad section of the Corridor 10 highway is estimated to cost some ?97.74 million and the client is Serbian roads company 3235 Koridori Srbije.

    Plans are now being drawn up for a series of projects that will form part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Four road projects worth over US$3.32 billion have been added to the CPEC programme. The Chinese Government is now in agreement with the plans for the CPEC. One of the new roads being built will run from Naukundi, through Mashkel and to Panjgur. The road will join National highway N-40 with CPEC Route N-85, and the Zhob-Kuchlak route.     Bolivia’s new highway project will improve connections with Brazil and Chile – Mauro Nogarin reports. Work is underway on Bolivia’s new Rurrenabaque – Riberalta highway project, which will boost connectivity for the country. The project is being coordinated by the Bolivian Highway Administration (ABC), with an Eximbank loan of US$579.4 million providing the financing for 85% of the work.
