Serbia highway work commencing

Construction of the Preljina-Pozega section of Serbia’s Corridor 11 route is commencing in March 2019. The project is challenging due to the terrain and this section of the route will include 32 bridges, 11 overpasses, three tunnels and three interchanges. The work is itself being carried out in three sections. One 8.3km section runs from Preljina to Prijevor while there is an 15.5km section from Prijevor to Lucani and a 7km stretch joining Lucani with Pozega.

    Work on a key portion of a major tunnelling project in Slovakia has been completed. Contractor Doprastav has complete boring of the 2km Ovciarsko tunnel, which forms part of the D1 highway route. The Ovciarsko lies close to Zilina and Doprastav commenced the drive for the 2.367km long tunnel in September 2014. This 47km route will run along the coast to the south of capital Manila, with its north eastern end lying close to the city’s international airport. The route connects Cavitex in Cavite's Kawit with the SLEx-Mamplasan Interchange in Laguna's Biñan. The project will improve connections to the airport as well as from Manila to the southern end of Luzon.
