Serbia highway project due in 2018

Work to build Serbia’s new Moravski Koridor highway will commence during 2018.

Work to build Serbia’s new Moravski Koridor highway will commence during 2018. The plans for the project have been released by Serbia’s Ministry of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure. Bechtel has been in talks with the ministry regarding work on the 110km highway from Pojate to Preljina. This link will join the Corridor 10 and Corridor 11 highways, although the cost of the project has not so far been revealed.

    Serbia’s Obrenovac-Preljina highway is due to be completed by 2017. Serbia’s Ministry of Construction says that the Obrenovac-Preljina and Ljig-Preljina routes are being financed with the aid of a €274.5 million loan from China's Exim Bank, worth a total of USD 301mn (EUR 274.48mn), while the state budget secured a total of €30.1 million.     Work is underway in Serbia for the Corridor 11 highway project and a number of local firms are now carrying out construction work on the Corridor 11 section from Ub to Lajkovac.
