Saudi Arabia: four new roads between Jeddah and Makkah announced

Saudi Arabia has announced four projects connecting Jeddah and Makkah that will facilitate faster and smoother travel. The Makkah governorate said the projects include the Makkah-Jeddah Direct Roadway, the Breman-Hada Al-Sham-Makkah Road, the Old Makkah-Jeddah Road and the Makkah-Jeddah Highway.

Saudi Arabia has announced four projects connecting Jeddah and Makkah that will facilitate faster and smoother travel.

The Makkah governorate said the projects include the Makkah-Jeddah Direct Roadway, the Breman-Hada Al-Sham-Makkah Road, the Old Makkah-Jeddah Road and the Makkah-Jeddah Highway.

There will also be a road for freight and cargo trucks to connect the Hada-Al-Jamoum Roadway and the Second Ring Road in Jeddah.

The projects will include warning signs and wider roads to reduce traffic accidents, which will benefit an estimated 35 million people, according to Saudi media reports.
