Government payments to the concessionaire, due between years six and 30 of the contract, should be no more than $2.48 billion (BRL 5.8 billion). The concession has an expected internal rate of return of 8%.

Among the companies that have shown interest are Galvão Engenharia, CCR, 2688 Ecorodovias, Odebrecht Transport of the 1305 Odebrecht group, Queiroz Galvão Construtora, Serveng-Civilsan, and Encalso Construções.
