Russian route repair contract awarded

Contractor VAD is to carry out the repair works to the A-181 Scandinavia Highway in Russia. The work is worth close to US$43 million and will have to be completed by 17th December 2018. The upgrade work will be carried out on the section of the highway that lies between Vyborg and Svetogorsk.

    Plans are in hand to carry out upgrades to a key stretch of highway in Peru. Work on the VII stretch of the Ayacucho-Abancay road will be carried out by the Kishuara III consortium. The contract is worth US$139 million. This consortium is headed by Spanish contractor firm, OHL, which has a 43% stake in the business.
