Russian road projects for Krasnodar and Siberia

Construction will commence in 2019 for a new bypass stretch around Krasnodar in Russia. The project is for the western bypass for Krasnodar (South), which will link the route from Krasnodar to Temryuk with the M-4 Don Federal highway. The new road stretch provides a key link for the new highway and bridge route across the Kerch Strait to connect with the Crimean Peninsula. The bypass section is designed to carry up to 30,000 vehicles/day.

Construction will commence in 2019 for a new bypass stretch around Krasnodar in Russia. The project is for the western bypass for Krasnodar (South), which will link the route from Krasnodar to Temryuk with the M-4 Don Federal highway. The new road stretch provides a key link for the new highway and bridge route across the Kerch Strait to connect with the Crimean Peninsula. The bypass section is designed to carry up to 30,000 vehicles/day.


Meanwhile the authorities in Siberia’s Krasnoyarsk Region are planning to build a new bridge that will span the Yenisei River. The US$158.7 million project will see the construction of the fifth bridge spanning the Yenisei River. Called the Vysokogorsky Bridge, this will be the most northerly of the bridges spanning the river in and around Krasnoyarsk.

    Russia’s Federal Road Agency (Rosavtodor) set out an ambitious plan of road development projects for 2018 and is achieving its target.     A proposal has been made to extend a key stretch of Russia’s high speed highway network. The highway connecting Moscow to Kazan would be upgraded and also extended in a bid to improve transport and cut journey times.     A new bypass project is being planned for Krasnodar in Russia. Building work for the Krasnodar’s North-West Bypass is expected to commence in 2018. The 57km bypass project includes building two overpasses and seven interchanges. Construction of this new bypass will join the M4 Don highway with the Yeyskoye Highway and the Krasnodar-Temryuk-Bely route.
