Russian road development continues for Kurgan and Krasnodar regions

New highway investment plans have been made for Russia’s Kurgan and Krasnodar regions. Some 240km of roads and 13 bridges are planned to be constructed in the Kurgan Region (Urals) by 2021. Overall the investment in transport links is estimated at close to US$489 million for the region. Around $464.4 million of this will be provided by the regional budget, while the region expects to receive some $29.3 million from the federal budget. New highway investment plans have been made for Russia’s Kurgan and Krasnodar regions. Some 240km of roads and 13 bridges are planned to be constructed in the Kurgan Region (Urals) by 2021. Overall the investment in transport links is estimated at close to US$489 million for the region. Around $464.4 million of this will be provided by the regional budget, while the region expects to receive some $29.3 million from the federal budget. This investment will see 78% of the Kurgan Region’s road network being surfaced. Meanwhile Russia’s Krasnodar Region has also set a road fund of some $464.4 million for 2014. Of this some $366.6 million will be used for the repair of federal and regional roads, while $85.5 million will be used for the repair of country roads.

The state-owned firm Avtodor intends to invest US$767.45 million on developing the M4 Don highway in the Krasnodar Region by 2014.     Chile’s ambitious road development programme is continuing. Work is starting on the Americo Vespucio Oriente (AVO 1) highway project.
