PRECAST2015 showcases the best of the precast concrete industry

The UK’s biggest precast concrete event has taken place at Leicester Tigers Stadium in Leicester, country Leicestershire, England. The UK’s biggest precast concrete event has taken place at Leicester Tigers Stadium in Leicester, country Leicestershire, England. Sponsored by Tekla, PRECAST2015 on Thursday 21 May has been hailed a great success with over 60 exhibitors showcasing the industry’s latest products to more than 400 delegates in attendance.

The exhibition was packed with seminars, live demonstrations, and networking sessions taking place throughout the day. Delegates were able to attend guest speaker-led briefings on key topics including Building Information Modelling (BIM), ISO4001, technical, health and safety, resilience of the built environment, and the economic outlook. As part of recent British Precast initiatives with members to improve loading safety, Wincanton and Norbert Dentressangle gave essential and informative live demonstrations with vehicles outside the stadium.

Speed networking sessions with manufacturers were immensely popular, giving a valuable opportunity for suppliers in the industry to connect with potential new customers. The British Precast AGM also took place during PRECAST2015 and those Associate and Full Members who had been shortlisted for the prestigious Best Practice Awards were announced during the showpiece event

Andrew Minson, executive director of British Precast, said: “PRECAST2015 was a fantastic day and a great opportunity for the precast industry to receive briefings and discuss vital topics for the coming year, whilst also viewing the latest product launches and innovations from their supply chain. Plans for PRECAST2016 are already underway and we’re aiming to make it even bigger and better!”
