Polish road project – bids submitted

Bids have now been submitted for a key Polish road project.

The bidding stage for the S19 road project in Poland is now being completed. The local contractor, Budimex, submitted the leading bid for the project.

The new dual carriageway will connect Bialystok Zachod with Bialystok Ksiezno junction. Budimex made a bid of close to €109 million for the work.

  • Polish capital route project being planned
    September 9, 2019
    Route reviews are being carried out for a key Polish project. Poland’s highways authority, GDDKiA, is analysing the four potential routes for the S10 road, which will connect with Warsaw’s outer ring road, itself still to be completed. The different routes have estimated costs ranging from €5.34 billion to €5.99 billion and all connect with the A1, though at different intersections. Financing for the work should be secured by 2020, with tendering expected in 2025 and construction due to commence in 2026.

  • Chile highway link project for Valdivia

    New dual carriageway connections are to be built in Chile to join the town of Valdivia to the Ruta 5 highway. The work is expected to cost US$250 million in all, with the work being planned by Chile’s Ministry of Public Works (MOP) and construction due to start in 2021.
