Polish road project – bids submitted

Bids have now been submitted for a key Polish road project.

The bidding stage for the S19 road project in Poland is now being completed. The local contractor, Budimex, submitted the leading bid for the project.

The new dual carriageway will connect Bialystok Zachod with Bialystok Ksiezno junction. Budimex made a bid of close to €109 million for the work.

Estimates suggest that the construction of six new ring-roads in the Opolszczyzna region will cost some €356 million.     A Mostostal Warszawa consortium has reportedly made the lowest bids to build three sections of the S19 from Nisko to Sokolow Malopolski in south-eastern Poland. The consortium’s bid was just over €187 million in total. Other bids which were received from a Strabag consortium and a Budimex consortium.
