Planning work is being carried out for an important dual carriageway project in Poland. The work is for the construction of an 18km stretch of the S7 route between Widoma and Igolomska Junction in Southern Poland.

The work will be carried out by the Italian contractor Webuild, previously known as Salini Impregilo. The contract is worth just over €399 million and is expected to be complete in late 2023 or early 2024.

Approval for the dual carriageway improvement work was given by the authorities in Poland’s Malopolska Region.
