Polish highway deal moving forward

The tender process for the last stretch of Poland’s A1 highway project is now commencing.

The tender process for the last stretch of Poland’s A1 highway project is now commencing. The 80km section runs from Tuszyn to Czestochowa and the work is being split into five separate sections. The tender process is being managed by the 3519 Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA). The project is expected to cost €855.4 million.

    Construction of a stretch of the S7 dual carriageway in Poland will commence shortly following the signing of contracts for the work. The stretch, connecting Lotnisko junction with Grojec's ring road, will cost €186.66 million to build. Three contracts were awarded by the Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) for the work. Rubau Polska will build a 7km section while a 14.8km stretch will be built by IDS-Bud and Mota-Engil Central Europe will build an 8km portion of the link.

    The Polish province of Lodzkie has signed a territorial contract that will allow construction of the Pyrzowice to Tuszyn section of the national A1 motorway.
